Am I the only one who thinks that this Johnny story is just odd?  First of all, as someone else posted, they would have to do lots of testing before a surgery.  Then, just a small eye bandage and a patch and Wha La!, he’s out of the hospital with his black eye patch and opening presents.  Kids recover quickly, but shouldn’t there be some pain (EJ alluded to it once) or not alot of activitity, and how about trying to get used to only focusing with one eye?  It’s not like he just had a cold.   This whole storyline is not about Johnny’s eye at all, it’s about the dynamics between EJ & Sami, EJ & Nicole, EJ & Lexie.  Basically, it’s about EJ’s cruelty to those around him.  It’s like, oh yeah, we’re taking out Johnny’s eye today but he’ll be home to open presents tomorrow so that Sami can stand at the window on Christmas Eve and cry and EJ can continue to "use" /abuse the people around him.

It’s surprising how quickly kids recover.  My little cousin had open heart surgery at about 12 months, his second, and was sitting up laughing and playing with toys in this hospital bed the next day.
