Opinions on the Horton House remodeling that was unveiled this week?

I liked the updates they did but could have gone further. I was glad to see a new white couch and new window treatments. I would have liked less green on the walls.

I get the other narratives that are of central focus. I get that they need to be shown. But still, the other narratives that are in action & the central focus, they wouldn’t be seen without the show, so with Alice & Tom & their home started it all, shouldn’t 10-15-20-25 people who are tied to Alice & Tom in more ways than one should have been there to see the newly refurbished Alice & Tom’s home.

I love green! I’m not bothered by the color, but to be honest, aside from a new sofa and curtains, it doesn’t look any different to me. Still looks like an old lady’s house. It’s like they were trying to introduce some farmhouse touches but mingled it with traditional and missed the mark on both. Just my opinion.

I personally think it was all just to set up the time capsule in the fireplace. I sure hope we’ll get a big payoff for that. Otherwise, I’m going to be really stumped as to why they had to have a fire. In reality, Julie could have updated the house without the fire. She did that several years ago with the Martin house where Will and Paul lived.
