Is it just me, or does no one else care about her story? I didn’t even care that much when JJ found her. When JJ was going to kill himself, we had a family background. We knew all the people who loved him and we knew why he was in the state he was in. This girl we know nothing about. We didn’t form any kind of relationship with the character. Even now that I know she’s Trask’s sister, I still don’t care. She’s not even a compelling actress, kind of like wallpaper.
She falls into the Lani and Eli category for me, but even more boring. Maybe as her SL unfolds it will be more enticing?
Trask doesn’t want anyone to know that Haley is her sister because she is an undocumented Chinese immigrant. It was hilarious when JJ asked Haley if Trask was her mother. In spite of Trask’s denial that she looks old enough, it’s a logical assumption. In light of illegal immigration being so prominently in the news these days, it will be interesting to see how this storyline plays out, having been taped five or six months ago.
Laura Kai Chen is 40 years old IRL and I would assume Trask is around the same age, so biologically she is old enough to be Haley’s mom. Very pretty lady, but she never gets to smile on Days.
Sounds like this is going to be a sloppily written SL considering Trask’s line of work. I can’t imagine they weren’t communicating prior to Haley coming to the US or whatever. With all of the "chain migration" that goes on, it seems like Trask could have easily brought her sister here legally.
Did she come as a baby? Honestly, I wish we weren’t going there. Just another story that won’t be done well.
As screwed up as the hospital is, they would have run a background check on her prior to employment.
How did she get a job? And how is it that her older sister is legal, but she’s illegal. I need more back ground info. This story is not compelling.
