I rely on Soapnet to keep up with the DAYS episodes that I happen to miss.  I really hate to hear this info.   Anyway, thanks, Pam.

I was considering getting it because it seems like Day’s is preempted all the time by news items at least once a week here (1:00 p.m.) and I think tomorrow it will be again too…SoapNet was always a way to catch up later on in the evening – (I did have SoapNet a number of years ago)…the reason they said it was being taken off is because we can all watch our soap on the web.

It’s like all the networks that just keep adding more news/talk shows.  I love being able to watch the shows off hours!

I watched one episode of Days on line last week and EVERY commercial break was Allison Sweeney talking about her allergies and whatever allergy medicine she was promoting.  Not one break, but EVERY break.  I finally muted the breaks after about two of them.   I know sometimes there’s an option for one commercial at the beginning of a series, but I couldn’t find it for Days.  I don’t mind a 15 second interruption but give me something new to look at a couple of times throughout.

We have Dish Network and they don’t provide NBC in our area so we have to pay extra for it through All American Direct.  We get it just so I can watch Days.  We had trouble with All American Direct when they charged us too much this year and I called 10 minutes later and they said they’d credit the over charge.  A month later they deducted the entire amount from our account and I called to say I want the money back.  They refused saying they put it on our account as a credit for next year.  I wanted to cancel figuring I’d watch Days on Soapnet but they wanted to charge me a $25 cancellation fee for something we never signed a contract on.

I was planning on watching Soapnet next year after we get rid of NBC.  I don’t like sitting at my computer watching a TV show, especially every day but if I have to I will.

computer to watch my show.  Sounds like a nightmare with AD – go to Better Business Bureau and report them…companies don’t like their ratings lowered by BBB.  Good luck!
