I hope that EJ goes to his boss, i.e. Mayor Paulina Carver & has Rafe’s ass fired in a millisecond, all Rafe cares about is Jada’s health-care, & having his bros-in-blue to stand-by & the woman in question is pregnant, may have been in a car accident & that she is also Rafe’s ex-wife, no less.
Then they break the fourth wall: Dimitri handing a baby over to Sloan & Trask, it’s like showing a pregnant Holly shuffling her newly born to child to Tweedle-Donovan & Tweedle-Narita???WTF
This puts Leo in prison because DVL puts a baby in danger by handing a baby over to Sloan & Trask, in which Leo believed that his lover would just leave the infant on a gurney.
I don’t know what you’re talking about when it comes to Donovan and Narita, but I will say I’m not understanding Dimitri going to Sloan and Trask and giving them the baby. Has he even had any interaction with these two since he’s been in Salem. And why would any sane mother give her baby to Dimitri?
What I’m getting at with Dumb Donovan & Dumbest Narita, is that actor Peter Porte had read the script at the table read, the actors blocked & taped as to what the script had called for, meaning, the actors knew of what the script had called for & acted out what they had read, that’s why the character of Dimitri knew where to go with the child, hence Dimitri going to Sloan’s apartment. But what I’m getting at is there is no story at all of the characters that he never encountered, much less have had scenes with & we see the actor knowing where to go. What I brought up with Dumb Donovan & Dumbest Narita is that it’s a theory, I was putting it out there that it would be like having Puzemis’ Holly showing up Andy & Paulie’s doorstep with a baby that was just born & leaving the child with them, two characters, that she never encountered or had scenes or knew of, they ended up showing as to what Puzemis had read. Don’t you thnk that has to stop, by constantly play up as to what the actors knew & that the characters don’t?
This car accident baby story is so forced and ridiculous in order for Nicole’s baby to get to Eric and Sloan. First of all, the police and EJ should have tried to find her using her cellphone. Holly finally remembers she has a tracking app on her phone and she was able to locate Nicole. It took long enough. A teenager had more sense than EJ or Rafe. Rafe, meanwhile seemed indifferent toward Nicole’s plight since he was more worried about Jada. Healthy Jada with a head injury in good hands in the hospital vs a pregnant women a few weeks from giving birth who may have been in an accident. So why did Dimitri go to Sloan’s house with the baby – because he remembered Leo told him she was a tough lawyer. Melinda just happened to be there and talked Sloan into claiming the baby was hers. And then, history repeats itself with Melinda offering to pay off a crooked doctor to say Nicole’s baby has died. (Similar to Nicole years ago losing her baby with EJ but didn’t tell him. She found a single mother to give up her baby to her and pass it off as EJs. Meanwhile Sami goes into labor, and Nicole switches her baby out with Sami’s- involved paying a crooked doctor. And then there’s the more recent Sarah/Kristen baby switch by Xander/Victor and payment to a crooked doctor). Same old, same old.
I think the writer’s story idea may be interesting but they do an awful job with the details in making the story come to life.I am just sick of these repeat storylines. The writers absolutely suck! It shows a lack of talent. I’m kind of glad they went on strike because I’m looking forward to seeing what the scab writers give us. It certainly has to be better than this crap. None of this story makes sense. No mother would give her baby to a wanted felon, no matter what the circumstances are. And Dimitri going to see Sloan—how did he know where she lived? They’ve never had any interaction on the show. And let’s not forget incompetent Rafe. What person would react like he did? None of the writing makes sense for any of the characters. Melinda has always been by the book and now she’s a freaking criminal! Is this how the writers think she is most useful? Why didn’t the develop a story with her and Li? Speaking of which, Gabi s rotting in prison, before she’s even had a hearing? I would have preferred that Stefan break her out of jail and she remains on the run until her name can be cleared. Again,it’s crappy writing.
I agree. It’s a lot of forced events with details that don’t make sense just to keep the story going of the baby belonging to Eric and bringing Eric and Nicole back together. According to spoilers, another oft repeated plot of baby having health crisis and needing biological parent to save it is coming up. Will Sloan tell the truth to save her baby?
