For those of you who watch Diners Drive-ins and dives have you ever gone to any of the restaurants he featured?  there are a few in pittsburgh but we rarely go up there.  I want to go to that Hillbilly Hotdog place in WV.  it’s just 45 minutes northwest of Charleston and we drive right through charleston on the way down to NC.  45 minutes isnt that far out of the way.  So I’m hoping we can stop.   just curious if any of you have been to any of them?

I keep saying I need to get by there every time I watch his show.  He has two or three within a three hour driving distance from me actually.  This is my "wish" vacation – load up the treadmill (I’m gonna need it) in the RV, get his book out on eateries, and hit every one of the restaurants he mentions in his books going across country.  I just haven’t found anyone to go with yet…You can see why I’d need my treadmill on this vacation – how does he do that?  Eat all the food – he must have a cross-country gym membership.

LOL ILL GO!  i think that would be sooo fun.  I’ll fly out to cali and we can drop me off in ohio! LOL.  They actually on one of the shows last night, the one with the hotdog place I want to go to had couples that were there had been visiting all of his places across country. The couple that they featured this place was their 100th restaurant that Guy featured. That would be one of my wishes to do before I die.  i’m in pretty decent health considering I’m on oxygen 24/7. lol.  I still love to eat!   I also want to go to NY and go visit Foodnetwork studios!  that would be sooooo awsome!  I also want to write a letter to Gina Neely, I love them!  She loves pigs and collects them just like I do. I think she loves them just as much as I do!  haha.  I have wanted to take a picture of all my piggys with me and send it to her saying see i’m a bigger pig collector than you are! LOL.  She might invite me on the show.   haha.  in my dreams.   pathetic hey?  LOL.

the worst way! So no problem with ya flying out and us starting our journey and ending up in Ohio!  What a hoot that would be!!!  We’d have room for the oxygen bottles in the RV, just like for my cane…but if we go all the way to NY, we’d have to ditch the RV – I hear parking is the pits!  And I love a good hot dog, wasn’t that one that they showed from the lady and the gent massive?  Looked so yummy.  We could split one of those!  LOL!

I collect pigs! I have delft, china, ceramic, etc.  Big piggies, little piggies.  I only have about 12 of them, but several are antiques.  And most I’ve had since forever, so they might be worth something too -they are a sign of good luck I hear.  They are prominetly featured all over my family and dinning room, at times, I need all the luck I can get!

that was featured on both DDD and on Food Wars- Farnham’s in Essex, MA.  It won the competition with Woodman’s.  I love their shrimp and scallops.   I don’t eat clams which won them the battle.  It’s a small, almost tiny place but the seafood is really fresh and the view of the marsh isn’t bad either.  As a local, I tend to go in the spring and fall as the summer is way too crowded with the tourists. lol  They close between Thanksgiving and end of February- everyone needs a vacation when you work 7 days a week!  If you’re on your road trip, it’s a must go to.  Friends have also done Red’s (a popular diner) and some other places in Salem, MA that they highly recommend.

I’d read where Guy only takes 1-2 bites of the food and the rest goes to the crew.

that they are there all day and sometimes 2 days so he could try 2-3 dishes a day and show him eating a bite of each.

I’ve been to Wilmington.  Our former neighbors live there.  She and her husband (mainly she) have a shop called "For a Song and a Story" which sells musical instruments, books, music stuff and gives lessons.  But I can’t find anything in any of the posts above which say what there is in Wilmington that I surely must have missed on a trip I took with my church women’s group last year.  And we were given a guided tour by a Wilmington native.  So, what is in Wilmington, OH?

It’s a town in ohio that was really down on it’s luck.  I’m pretty sure Rachael Ray did a whole show about it.
