What I don’t get with Talia is this, all the things that she had done, she had done, she did them before Colin came to town. She drugged up the biscuits, she ended up drugging Eric & Nicole & also drugged up Trask as well & that went down before Colin came to town, then once he got there, she was willing to rape Chanel, no one put a gun to her head, did they, then not once did she try to stop Colin, she could easily have grabbed a lamp & hit him with it before he assaulted her. It doesn’t matter that she saved Chanel & Paulina, what mattered is that she was in league with him & was willing to do what he wanted, there may have been mental & emotional abuse, I will give you that, but not once did she try to end it, she kept allowing it. This is in the present. With what Colin had her do, this time around, she’s extremely giddy of the job she has now & she’s willing to tank it & she’s now in Colin’s position, I don’t know if they go there or not, but if she ends up getting sexed up by Shawn. She tanks her job, she & Shawn end up causing two sex scandals, one for the hospital, because who she slept with is her boss’ nephew & her doctor’s son-in-law, & with Shawn still being a cop brings a sex scandal to the police department, because he sexed up a cop’s sister, or is this how Talia is given the ho-heave-ho?
First of all, I know she did all of those things before we saw Colin, he may have been in town, just not seen. But none of that matters. I agree with you, she did all of those things, she had a choice, he never held a gun to her head to do them. She’s supposed to be some smart doctor, but she is really dumb as dirt. I have said from the get-go, there is no redeeming this character regardless of how repentant she is, just like Gwen.
So spoiler alert, Talia is leaving Days, not just the actress, but the character. I have no idea how she was ever able to get a job at a hospital. She should have lost her medical license after drugging half the town. I know I wouldn’t want her to be my doctor. I haven’t watched today’s show, probably won’t until tomorrow. But, I think we can agree that she will probably sleep with Shawn, and Belle will leave town. We know MM has left Days. After the fallout from sleeping with Shawn, Talia will leave town. I cannot even believe that the writers thought we’d want to even watch this crap.
The next question that I have with this, is this: With all of the guilt & remorse that Shawn has for what happened with Bo, then dealing with the loss of his grandfather, then he sees as to how Belle was with Phillip at Vic’s services, is it wise for MM’s Belle to leave altogether just because Shawn sexed up Talia, think about it, with Shawn’s mindset, is the same mindset that JJ had for shooting Theo, & they think that it’s wise to throw his wife away, making Shawn feel worse, I can’t see Marlena helping, because her son-in-law cheated on her daughter & with another patient of hers as well, & also it’s the same young lady that is on an interim basis at the hospital thanks to Kayla & on top of it all, Belle just got introduced to her grandfather, with how many of his family is surrounding him, & how it’s all too new to him, they think it’s wise to fill him in of what going on in his granddaughter’s marital life. I really hope that DVD’s character as the stamina to handle as to what’s going on with his newly found family.
From what I’ve read, MM did not want to leave. She wanted to have a real storyline, but Albert Alaar, who is no longer with Days, basically didn’t want to give Belle a storyline. He told MM that she could just come on occasionally to do lawyerly things. Basically, she’d be seen rarely but would still be obligated to Days when they felt like they needed her. MM left because this wasn’t good for her professionally or economically. I don’t know if they’ll recast Belle anytime soon, but considering she is John and Marlena’s child, I’m sure the character will reappear soon.
Aren’t there other writers that are willing to write the storyline that MM would have wanted? With Alaar no longer with Days, you tell me, as to how he has the power to throw Madison away, especially with how Shawn needs Belle now more than ever, they think that it’s wise to throw her out with the bath-water? If MM left because this wasn’t good for her professionally or economically, then why did she stay for that long until Alaar had decided to dismiss her from this show?
