ParticipantI am so happy !!!! I have a killer of a headache and again it was the Big ‘D’ that got the win…..

ParticipantI didn’t give them a whole lot of chance but that ferocious D got it done. Wade Phillips deserved the MVP as he has proven top dog in defense everywhere he’s gone. So nice to see Peyton go out this way (I’d be shocked if he doesn’t hang it up). As for the petulant Cam Newton, a huge talent but in regard to his postgame comments needs to study Peyton for a lesson in class.

Participantthey didn’t win because of him; they won in spite of him. I really think he should consider retiring now. Go out with pride and glory, because quite frankly, when he reviews the tapes of this SB, he would, or surely should, see their defense is what got them the win. Peyton was responsible for most of the mistakes made on the offense. I’m happy for him and the Broncos, but believe me when I say that THIS was not a good showing for PM, IMO.

Participanthe will risk another year. The docs told him he needs hip surgery as well. Actually, that pass he threw for the two pointer was the best one he tossed all day. He was fading badly all year and I have to believe that reality will cement his decision to not continue.
Please Peyton, let SB 50 be your storybook ending and not end up a shadow of yourself or risk any more injury. It’s time to hang it up and thanks for the great memories and class.February 9, 2016 at 1:47 am #50762powerpaw2
ParticipantI’ve heard him say numerous times that the defense has carried them this season. And he gave credit to Brock O as well.
Back in the 80s the Patriots had a QB named Steve Grogan who had some major neck issues. I heard an interview with a defensive lineman or LB from an opposing team who said he would pull up before sacking/tackling Grogan because he didn’t want to cause a desvastating injury. I hope Peyton retires while he’s still healthy enough to play with his kids.

ParticipantThe lady who was the CBS sideline reporter had a quick interview with Von before kickoff. She said something to him and he said "yes ma’am". Very cool to see someone who makes mega bucks and is getting ready to play the biggest game of his career still has good manners.
