What day did Bonnie’s accent get so thick? Holy smoke! I do have a pet peeve with phoney southern accents, but Bonnie was really laying it on thick yesterday. It was unbearable.
I am a proud GRITS (Girl Raised in the South). I dislike and cannot understand why Judi Evans is flip flopping back and forth between a fake southern accent and a mixed up dialect that represents no specific region. Standard American aka Broadcast English is appropriate. I hope this isn’t foreshadowing another multiple personality story.
I’m also from the south, and although I don’t really have a Southern accent, I hate fake ones. It’s like fingernails on a chalkboard.
