a little kid, when Carrie spoke of him and Abby always being together and he pops up with, “She’s my assistant!”
Just the way they have the scene blocked out with Abby in the foreground, taking control and Austin looking like the fool that he is back a little. His expressions are just so ridiculous and I find him a spineless character – not just dumb but no backbone.but he’s also filled with guilt as he believes he did sleep with Abby. But, Abby is presenting herself as ms young innocent in love with him and until he’s kicked her out — she looked saner than he did. We know otherwise but Carrie doesn’t! Austin allowing Abby to not only stay in the hotel room when he’s only in a towel and then hugging her after he tells her he loves his wife, not her was a HUGE mistake. That guy is clueless when it comes to how to deal with a teenager (which Abby is) and I suspect that college professor role is over and done with!
