I just have to say that I am tired of the violence against women on DOOL lately. Jennifer getting her heart ripped out, Maggie getting shot, Chloe and Mandy’s attacks… I just hope this storyline moves along quickly. Women are not very positively portrayed lately. Look what happened to Chloe’s character…

Anyone know when this storyline will be done? I am ready.

Days are portrayed as weak and subserviant more often than not and there is always a man coming to their rescue.  I know there have been those moments when it has been the opposite; but, not often enough for me.  And the surprising part of this is that female head writers do it as often as the male head writers.

gritching about for years and years!  I hate that in this day and age women are portrayed like that.  Men are all well and good and great but most Salem ladies are too dependent…and Sami Jean has always topped the list as mega-man-needer.  At least Maggie, Kate, Hope are their own women, and Marlena also when she returns.

I’m seeing it as the fairytale with the damsel in distress and knight in shining armor.  Of course Kate is the wicked witch or would that be Wicked Stepmither.

(I was in and out during some of the show) but it seemed like the blood on her appeared and disappeared and then appeared again.  Anyone else notice that?

there has been violence against men, too. don’t forget when hope was on pills she was attacking men. and ej had brady beaten up a while back. more recently, rafe was kidnapped, beaten and drugged; ej was beaten; chad was shot….there is a lot of violence all the way around!
