If having a potential Carly/Dan romance on top of the possiblilty of Dan being either Mia/Mel’s daughter might be a bit too much regarding Chloe’s involvement.
In other words, I think the conflict of Dan having a kid and Chloe not able to is enough of a conflict between those two, while Days could still link up Carly and Justin.
Of course, there’s no way to avoid the natural bond of Carly and Dan over their daughter, at least in the beginning. But it’s not like the child is young.
