Stephanie only wants what she doesn’t have. She was crazy about Philip until they became engaged. then all she wanted to do was change him. Now she is interested in Nathan. I think it is more about taking him away from Mel. I do believe if she saw Mel with Phil, she would go after Phil again. She is a mixer and a trouble maker.
