was right…Deimos (Vincent Irizarry) appears to be going. I figured it was him when they had the spoiler about the soap vet who would be leaving the show. The writing for Deimos was just too all over the board. I would have liked to have seen him as a hard nosed businessman with a soft side for Nicole but nope…they wrote him as alternately soft, sappy, crazy, vengeful, contrite and backed him into such a corner there was nowhere for him to go. Did Higley EVER sit down and plot out a story more than five minutes ahead?
Vince is one heck of an actor. Enjoyed the couple of times he played piano as well. It’s too bad a jackass was in charge of the writing.
even if the character was horrible. There are so many other ways they could have used VI’s talent, since he is far superior as a villain compared to the cartoon known as Andre DiMera.
I think Vince is an excellent actor. He had to be, to play this crappy character with even more craptastic writing. That said though, I’m glad the character will be gone. I never liked Deimos from the start and he’s just too out of control for me. I would have preferred someone who was not so thoughtless about other’s lives. He has no remorse for what he did to Maggie, lying to the family about Zander, locking up Chad and Gabi, and constantly lying to Nicole. How could any of us even see a soft side, when he was just evil?
but Paul Telfer will return to our screens as Xander during May sweeps, so that may be part of Deimos’ exit sl; this is not a spoiler, because I just know Xander is returning, don’t know for how long, how or why, but if anyone has a huge grudge to hold against Deimos, it would be Xander. Then again, perhaps Deimos will be the one who will bring Xander back to Salem for some evil deed. He did banish him from Salem unless and until he needs him. We’ll see what his story is when he gets here, I guess!
