So far I think Missy R is playing the addiction quite well – not overdoing it. But I hope Days takes this much further and shows Jenn stealing pills, failing at work, personality swings, growing more desperate with cravings, coming off the high, etc.
but the way the writers have been racing through these stories, I wouldn’t be surprised if she isn’t discovered, treated and cured before Eric leaves for prison. The story is a good idea, because it’s been so long since Melissa had a sl she could sink her teeth into, and this could be the one to give her the opportunity to show her acting chops. She is going through the first stage of addiction…denial, and so far it’s going well, so I’m also hoping it is developed properly and not rushed. I did think it was funny that she doesnt’ remember her and Eric kissing, because she sure looked like she was into it. LOL!
reaction to Jen being an addict was odd. I couldn’t tell if she thought Eric was lying to get the attention onto somebody else, or if she just didn’t care.
I watched an HBO documentary on heroin last night. Would be interesting if they went there with Jennifer. Not even if she tried it, but if it was offered to her and she considered it.
Days already did a story about a doctor stealing drugs & being sent for rehabilitation. I don ‘t remember who it was.
Ir looks like Jen takes a handful of pills from that bottle. Maybe she builds up a tolerance and needs that many to get relief. If so, how does one get off the pills instead of requiring more?
a crime and total disservice to fast forward through this most current of issues. On the local news almost every night; just today the reporters spoke of 3 recent heroin overdoses – and how many more if the emergency recovery drug Narcan wasnt used.
I would love to see Jennifer “graduate” to this opiate and how must see tv drama it could initiate. If we’re gonna go there, do it realistically.
