ParticipantDays of Our Lives, Corday Productions and Sony Pictures have joined together to partner with Sourcebooks to produce books all about the wacky world of Salem.
The books will include behind the scenes accounts of the show’s history as well as novels about some of its most popular characters. You can look for the first book starting in May of 2010. It’s called, “The Days of Our Lives: The Untold Story of One Family’s Dream.” The second will be, “True History of The Days of Our Lives.”
In the fall, there will also be an illustrated coffee table-style book released to celebrate the 45th year of production of the show, as well as a set of novels.

Participantdescribed and it was a series of the shows over the years. I remember finding them at a discount place but just when I was getting into them, the books seemed to end. Anyone else seen them? I’m talking back in the mid 1980s or late 80s.

ParticipantThere have been several books written about Days. Allison Sweeney did one and so did Susan Hayes. Just go to Amazon.com to see them all. There’s even a cookbook.

ParticipantI read voraciously – so a book or books about "Days" will tickle my fancy – I can’t wait. Have to go scour Amazon to see if I can pre-order! Cool!

ParticipantI didn’t find anything about pre-ordering but I was flaggergasted at how much the USED Days books were. I can remember when those top ones came out and several Days fans on the newsgroup I posted in had bought a copy and all raved about how good it was. BUT! I’m not paying any $100, or even $50.

Participantand since I read a LOT – I usually just order the books I want to read from the library…but this is something I think I’d like to have in my own reading material…so I will probably treat myself to one of these books.

Participantwhile it did talk about Days, it had a lot of his early days in show business and things like that. I read it when it first came out so can’t totally recall all of it. I remember it did have some behind the scenes stuff from Days but a lot of other things to do with their relationship and work history.
I haven’t read Alison’s book.
