I don’t understand why inflicting bodily harm is an issue for you. I can understand not wanting Doug to be subjected to it since Susan is still on the show and Doug is a beloved character. However, Victor dying in a plane crash isn’t surprising given the characters history. We didn’t see the crash, only heard about it later. The show had a nice memorial service for Victor.
Also, the show has inflicted bodily harm on many characters, some who survived and some who didn’t: Daniel Jonas, Sarah’s baby, Adrienne, EJ, Stefan, Beau, Ben’s victims, etc.

Victor was a man with a huge international business empire and friends and enemies all over the world. Based on his business and personal history, I can see Days turning his death into several storylines, including his death in a plane crash caused by sabotage.

However, Doug doesn’t have such a colorful background so no need to do anything but a respectful passing and celebration of his life. With his real wife Susan on the show, I would hope she gets final approval of how they treat Doug’s passing. If she’s happy with it, so am I.

The sets for the DiMera and Kiriokas houses were updated, so it was past time for the Horton house update. It probably wasn’t something Doug and Julie would do considering their age and Julie’s attachment to the house, but a fire provides the perfect opportunity for a rebuild.
Who owns the house, Doug and Julie or Jack and Jennifer?

I don’t think the female cop is the mole but i think she knows something and is too afraid to say anything. Her being the bad guy is too obvious. There is a male cop that seems to be around a lot when Rafe and Jada are discussing the case. The camera focused in on him yesterday at the station when Harris’s shooting was discussed. Perhaps he’s the mole.

Having Xander take the fall is classic Clyde. Remember they were in prison together before Xander became the good guy. They have a history.

What’s baffling is that the Brady Pub shooter knew where Lucas was. Are they bugging Harris’s phone?

I hope that Nicole gets her son back and she, Eric, and Jude leave the show together for a happily ever after. I’ll miss Arianna Zucker as Nicole but she has to do what she thinks is necessary to address the bad treatment.

From what I read, RSW only said they finished taping the Xander is Victor’s son scenes. The viewers will still see the “fallout” since according to what I read he didn’t divulge any details.

What bothers me is that with taping finishing now, this story is not going to be resolved until 5-6 months from now, ie the summer.

Did Victor adopt Sarah in the will or are you speculating? Even if he did, to me it’s still not icky for the reasons I mentioned above.

The Julie Hope example is just to show how soap relationships are crazy.

If Xander is Victor’s son, then Sarah would be his stepsister, not his half sister. They wouldn’t be related by blood. That does throw the ick factor into it. However, they didn’t grow up together, their relationship was always a romantic one, so perhaps not as icky as it could be. I think being the baby’s biological father is what matters, even though she is also his step niece.

This is the world of soaps, mixing it all up relationship wise. It’s been going on for years. Remember, Julie is Hope’s stepmother as well as her half sister.

    1. So Dimitri has immunity and he’s not an international criminal but he’s still in some far away prison. So do the same with Clyde. Send him to another prison.

    2. Yes, it could have still led to Holly’s OD if Stefan wasn’t helping Clyde because someone else would be. Clyde wasn’t going to stop his drug business if Stefan didn’t help him.

    3. The John, Steve, Constantine story is at least adding a story with some intrigue and mystery. I just hope it ends soon because I don’t like Constantine, he’s slimy. I was glad to see Maggie annoyed with him and she sent him home from Sarah and Xander’s dinner finding his own transportation.

I think Chad and Everett visiting Clyde is foolish and dangerous. Chad isn’t thinking, he’s operating off of his emotions. He probably hasn’t considered what harm Clyde can do from his prison cell, including burning the Horton house. I would think if there is a fire it will occur at the end of Feb sweeps month, after Valentine’s Day.

I want to know why they haven’t thrown Clyde in the same secure lockup Dimitri is in. Melinda made a phone call and got rid of Dimitri. Rafe should do the same for Clyde. My guess is that it hasn’t been done because Dimitri was an international criminal and is in ISA lockup whereas Clyde is a “local” criminal.

Another week goes by and no Horton house fire. Spoilers wrong again. They have been wrong alot lately.
Now the fire is supposed to take place during February sweeps month. I imagine they’re setting up for it with Chad and Everitt’s visit with Clyde.

Eric and Brady are step brothers. They don’t share a common blood parent.

Tate’s grandmother, Theresa’s mother, is Roman’s sister. Will’s grandfather, Sami’s father, is Roman. Therefore, Tate and Will are blood relatives, cousins, on the Brady side.

When Kate and Harris visited Lucas in the prison infirmary Harris said that although Lucas provided valuable info it didn’t get them the result they needed. Therefore he wasn’t eligible to be released. I think Harris was just sticking with that statement but was able to at least convince the powers that be to release Lucas for a short time since he was in danger in the prison. As this story progresses I think Lucas will be released.

I see an emerald cut stone, not a coffin.

Tate had a bad crush on Holly. So it’s reasonable to assume he’s straight.
