Since the fateful bloody wedding which ended the… what I thought to be a mis-matched… relationship of Roman & Kate, Roman did digress back to having feelings again for Marlena — if my recollection is working 
Then, as said already, Roman showed some jealousy/interest in Anna (which was pretty cute for us ‘oldies’ to watch). Their relationship goes back so, so, so, so many years. If they’d pair up, then Christy Clark could re-live a fantasy and come back on the cast as Carrie (w/grandchildren, of course).
