ParticipantThe actor that plays Theo, Kyle Pettis, had a mention last night during the U. Of Washington vs. Stanford football game. His brother plays for the UW Huskies. His dad was also a football player and the announcers mentioned Kyle last night and that he was on Days. When my husband came to bed, the first thing he asked me was if I knew who he was?

ParticipantTheo is definitely the best teen on the show. Kyler does a great job and I hope he is signed long term.

ParticipantIn the current Days wasteland I love this character. Just when I thought he was very unautistic acting, the scenes during the current SL were spot on and very natural.

Participant2years ago I had two autistic children in my kindergarten class. One of them would totally freak out if his sister didn’t get downstairs to pick him up within seconds of the bell ringing. He also had a very difficult time with fire drills, so his mom had to come to school and pretend she was helping in the class every time we had one. Theo’s reaction was spot on and reminded me so much of my former student. I think he is quite talented.

ParticipantMy son is 37 and is on the spectrum. He’s hated buzzers and alarms all his life. He’s held the same job for almost 20 years, and his company is so good to him. They actually have an HR person assigned to get him out of the building when they have fire drills. Theo is being portrayed as very high functioning and is quite accurate. Even the hormonal “love” feelings he has for the girls is spot on. My son has had a crush on our best friends’ daughter ever since he met her. She is so kind and gracious and patient with him. Two years ago she got engaged and her fiancĂ© actually asked Barry if it was okay to marry the girl – Barry said, “Sure, you’re a good guy.” Barry went to the wedding and danced with the bride. It was really cute!
