He deserved better after all the years that he was in the show…granted they didn’t write any decent story lines for him in the last few years but it seems like "Days" treats a lot of their vetrans like this, i.e., Diedre, Drake, "Patch and Kayla", etc., etc. And it hurts us fans too – because these "people" become important in our lives as we all set aside one or so hours of time in our daily or weekly busy schedules to invite them in. I would think that the show would reward loyalty to the actors and to the fans by at least having a decent closure to a charaters life.
