Place Message Board~
~Rules~
-By applying for a password, you agree to abide by the rules of this message board. The board owner reserves the right to delete posts deemed to be inappropriate, and/or to revoke passwords for any reason. If you do not agree to the rules below, please do not apply for a password.
-This is a general Days discussion board. Fans of all characters are welcome here. The theme is primarily pro John and Marlena, pro Bo and Hope, but not exclusively. It's not a prerequisite to be a fan of any of the Fab Four, but please keep in mind that the majority of members here are fans of either or both of those couples, so if you are posting a POV that is contrary to that, you will be met with a barrage of respectful, but opposing posts! :o)
-This is a family board. Foul language is not permitted.
-Posters must supply an ISP-Based email address. Hotmail and Yahoo (and other similar ) type addresses will not be accepted.
-Actor-bashing, gossip, personal insults, name-calling, and bashing of posters and/or the owner of this board will not be tolerated. Characters are open season, as is the writing, direction, hair, wardrobe, etc., but critique the material, don't slam the person behind it. Please remember the Golden Rule.
-Bashing other BBS either by name or by naming posters will not be tolerated. Vague or undefinable references are acceptable, use your good judgement. Nobody benefits from board wars, and in the long run we all lose. If one has issues with another board, please deal with that board's owner/moderator. Of course, if you have something NICE to say about another board or poster, that's always fine!
-Criticism
is always allowed, provided it is constructive. There is a
distinct difference between
expressing an idea or opinion, and
slamming another person.
Bash the post, not the poster. Differing opinions
make for spirited discussion, but every poster deserves the respect that YOU expect.
Also, consider that the person you are posting about might read the board.
Even if they do not, please consider that it is a possibility. Good
manners are never out of fashion.
-No one expects everyone to agree all the time, rather, challenging each others' opinions can be a learning experience, and it can easily be done in a mutually respectful manner. Negative AND positive views are valid, and welcome, all within the rules of decorum.
-Please
keep personal and off-topic posts to a minimum. Posting
something like:
"JennM...email me please. eom" is fine, but discussing back and
forth, what you did on the weekend is not. Take such personal chatter to
email, or ICQ, etc.
-Finally,
if your post is contained entirely in the 'subject' line, be
courteous and use the term
'eom'. It means 'end of message', and will save others time and
frustration.
My goal here is to provide a friendly environment for Days of Our Lives fans to express their views. This board is owned and operated voluntarily, for fun and entertainment, and to provide a place for people to post.
Welcome to Salem Place....enjoy
