Silly to say this: The ages are driving me insane
We all know that the ages of people are enough to make our heads blow up. And in the main I've come to accept blindly that Julie should be 150 years old. But this Carly/Dan/Melanie thing just makes no sense to me.
For me, I would have guessed Daniel's age to be around 38. Maybe 36 to 38.
A person is a doctor around 27 -- or thereabouts. But he wasn't just a doctor, he was a doctor going to medical conferences. Presumably he was a surgeon or these medical conferences appear, from what they say, to be the elite of the elite.
For Melanie to be 19 or 20, Dr Dan would have had to be 18. How many people are world renowned doctors at 18?
Okay, so say we make him older. Say Dr Dan is really 45/47 age. He's now old enough to have Melanie for a daughter, but hang on, he was romancing Chelsea last year! and my guess is Chloe is supposed to be about 24 or 25. Icky yes? Why Bo was only fuming and not going insane when a man of this age was romancing his daughter is beyond me.
It would have made more sense if they had said that Carly and Daniel were college sweethearts -- but then she would have had Melanie before she met Bo, and she met Bo after Hope died and Shawn Douglas was a little boy, so that timelines just doesn't work.
The age thing does my head in. LOL
